P. Allison Minugh, Ph.D.,
President and CEO

AllisonDr. Minugh serves as Datacorp’s President and Chief Executive Officer, providing leadership to all of Datacorp’s research services. For more than 18 years, and in consultation with leading researchers across the country, Dr. Minugh has honed her research methodology skills and is widely respected for her outstanding needs assessment, social indicators, and data management protocols. Dr. Minugh has extensive quantitative and survey research experience, and has a lengthy history conducting randomized clinical trials.

Presently, Dr. Minugh holds an adjunct faculty position at the Brown University Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. In this capacity, Dr. Minugh served as co-investigator on a Brown University, NIAAA-funded brief intervention study of injured emergency department patients with hazardous drinking histories. Dr. Minugh’s longstanding relationship with Brown University provides the Datacorp staff with unparalleled opportunities to collaborate with top researchers in the substance abuse and mental health fields.

Previously, Dr. Minugh held a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School and served as the primary technical advisor for the National Technical Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Needs Assessment. While at Harvard, Dr. Minugh developed the Adolescent Telephone Household Treatment Needs Assessment Questionnaire that was widely used by SAMHSA’s State Needs Assessment Program (McAuliffe, Minugh, LaBrie, et al., 1997).

Dr. Minugh received her doctorate in behavioral health psychology from the University of Rhode Island and completed advanced training in addictions and treatment research by completing the NIAAA-funded post-doctoral fellowship at the Brown University Center for Alcohol and Addiction Studies. Dr. Minugh has taught at the University of Rhode Island and was also a visiting assistant professor at Wheaton College.

In addition to her faculty appointment at Brown University, Dr. Minugh also holds an appointment on the Wyoming Governor’s Council on Substance Abuse and Violent Crime where she chairs the Violence Subcommittee.

Susan L. Janke, M.S.,
Chief Operating Officer

SusanSusan L. Janke is co-owner and Chief Operating Officer at DATACORP. With more than 19 years of experience in the fields of mental health and addiction treatment, Ms. Janke is regarded as an authoritative expert in the development and administration of behavioral health care programming. In addition to providing clinical project direction, she is responsible for managing Datacorp’s daily operations including: facility management, human resources, strategic planning, and corporate development.

Previously, Ms. Janke developed, implemented and managed a variety of programs across the treatment service continuum for both privately and publicly funded treatment and prevention agencies. Working in both funding sectors provided an unparalleled opportunity to work with culturally and socio-economically diverse populations requiring a full spectrum of services. In consultation with leading researchers, Ms. Janke gained extensive experience in the development, operation, and evaluation, of effective treatment programs.

Ms. Janke serves as project manager for all treatment-related projects. She has worked with many State level administrators, and treatment center executives to develop “Comprehensive Treatment Centers”, capable of providing evidence-based practices for the entire continuum of care. A ‘science to practice approach’ utilizing continuous quality improvement techniques is embraced. Ms. Janke has also directed treatment outcome evaluation studies that have documented significant improvements in levels of substance use and crime, and has used this information to help professionals understand how treatment affects their clients. Ms. Janke was appointed to serve on the Wyoming Governor’s Council on Impaired Driving.

Nicoletta A. Lomuto, M.A.,
Director of Operations

NicolettaMs. Lomuto brings over 10 years of research experience to her role as Datacorp’s Director of Operations. Her responsibilities include oversight of information technology services, workflow management, and she supports the President and Chief Operating Officer on infrastructure development. Ms. Lomuto is regarded as an authoritative expert in data management, and is credited with spearheading the development of Datacorp’s D3 Data Documentation Database, a cutting edge research tool. In addition, Ms. Lomuto draws on her strong economics background to provide project management and data analyst services on cost analysis, resource allocation, systems planning, needs assessment, survey research, and program evaluation studies.

Previously, Ms. Lomuto served as a statistical programmer at Harvard University’s National Technical Center for Substance Abuse Treatment Needs Assessment. In this capacity, she was responsible for developing scoring algorithms for complex telephone survey data. Ms. Lomuto is an accomplished speaker, trainer, and project manager. She received her Master’s degree in Economics from Queen’s University in Canada.

Diane Turner-Bowker, Ph.D.,
Director of Research and Development

DianeDiane M. Turner-Bowker, PhD, is a social experimental psychologist with more than 20 years experience in program evaluation and applied health, educational, and social science research.

Dr. Turner-Bowker provides solutions for health, education, and business through the application of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. She offers expertise in health outcomes research; survey development, validation, and equivalence studies; program evaluation and educational research; and product development and testing services. Additionally, Dr. Turner-Bowker has demonstrated experience in focus groups, heuristic evaluation, one-on-one interviews, cognitive testing, usability testing, market research, gap analysis, stakeholder interviews, market segmentation research, and customer satisfaction studies.

Dr. Turner-Bowker has worked on projects with Advise and Consent, Allergy & Asthma Care, American Institutes for Research, Boston University, Clinvest, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Dialysis Clinic Incorporated, Diamond Headache Clinic, Dynamic Clinical Systems, Eli Lilly, GlaxoSmithKline, Group Dimensions International, Health Assessment Lab, Janssen, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johnson & Johnson, Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, Kaiser Permanente, Magellan Health Services, Montefiore Medical Center, National Kidney Foundation, RAND Corporation, Stanford University School of Medicine, Tufts University, University of Alabama, University of Massachusetts Center for Survey Research, Veridian inSight, and YouGovPolimetrix, among others.

Currently, Dr. Turner-Bowker is Principal Investigator on two NIH-sponsored Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants to develop and evaluate multi-modal health-related quality of life (HRQOL) assessments for asthma and headache. Also, as Senior Scientist at QualityMetric Incorporated, Dr. Turner-Bowker was Principal Investigator on an SBIR grant to develop an innovative HRQOL measure for people with HIV and Co-Investigator on an SBIR to develop a similar measure for chronic kidney disease. She has developed and evaluated HRQOL measures for acute and chronic pain, dementia, influenza, migraine, mild cognitive impairment, obesity, pediatric asthma, pediatric health, and rhinitis.

Prior, Dr. Turner-Bowker was Senior Researcher in Program Evaluation at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Tobacco Control Program, where she analyzed prevalence trends in population-based data, evaluated the efficacy of smoking cessation programs for adults and youth, served as a statewide consultant on the Massachusetts Research Evaluation Committee, and communicated best practices to international audiences.

As Equity Specialist for a U.S. public school system, Dr. Turner-Bowker conducted group sessions with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to communicate the psychological, legal, and financial consequences of discriminatory and harassing behaviors in the workplace.

Dr. Turner-Bowker has also conducted research on womens health, poverty, gender stereotypes, childrens print media, and has served as an advocate for adults and children with disabilities.
